Location
Coimbra is a small city (150,000 inhabitants), nice and full of historical places to discovery, locate at the centre of Portugal. At the same time it has a very live atmosphere, like many others cities with a big university. Also the region nearby, locate close to the Atlantic Ocean, have many outstanding natural and historical environments to visit.
The Conference will be held at the installations of the Department of Civil Engineering in the Polo II of the University of Coimbra. The official language will be English with simultaneous translation in Portuguese. The weather in July is warm and sunny with air temperatures ranging from 15 ºC at late night to 30ºC in the middle of the day.
